Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif on Monday said that Armed Forces of Pakistan are fully prepared to respond to entire spectrum of direct and indirect threat.
He was chairing Corps Commanders’ Conference held in Rawalpindi at General Headquarters (GHQ).
COAS had an in depth review of external and internal security situation and operational preparedness of the Army.
Army chief took notice of the antagonistic approach of India and said that, Pakistan army is fully prepared and closely watching the latest happenings in the region and their impact on the security of Pakistan.
While applauding the resiliency of Pakistani nation COAS said that, the whole nation withstood against every obstacle thrown to their way, adding to this the whole nation is ready to counter any malicious design thrown to their way.
Commending the steady progress of Operation Zarb – e – Azb, COAS paid glowing tributes to officers and men of Army, FC, Rangers and Police who are rendering supreme sacrifices while successfully fighting against terrorists across the length and breadth of the country.
Army Chief, EU special representative for Afghanistan discuss regional security
European Union Special Representative for Afghanistan, Franz-Michael Skjold Mellbin called on Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif in Rawalpindi on Monday and discussed matters of regional security and mutual interest.
The visiting dignitary appreciated Pakistan Army’s achievements and continuing efforts in fight against terrorism and contribution for regional peace and stability. -RadipPakistan
