41 arrested in search operation in Potohar, Rawal Town areas

RAWALPINDI: On the special directive of City Police Officer (CPO) Rawalpindi Israr Ahmed Khan Abbasi, the police Monday launched special search operations in different Potohar and Rawal Town areas and arrested some 41 suspects.

According to a police spokesman, heavy police contingents, Elite Force, Special Branch personnel and Ladies police under the supervision of senior police officers conducted the search operations in different areas of Potohar and Rawal Town, searched 262 houses and interrogated over 2,627 persons.

He said 13 proclaimed offenders, 16 renting rules violators and 10 for having illegal weapons were rounded up. Police also recovered 10 illegal pistols and 30 rounds.

Two thieves were also arrested with three stolen goats. –APP
