The Pakistan Awami Tehreek has postponed its ‘Qisas Movement’ from August 16 to August 20 in respect of the Quetta blast. The Chairman of the party Dr Tahirul Qadri and PAT leaders and thousands of workers wore black band to show solidarity with the victims of the Quetta blast and later combined prayers was held for the deceased. The special prayers was led by Dr Tahirul Qadri and also prayed for the quick recovery of the injured.
Later addressing a press conference on Tuesday the PAT Chairman said that he is as sorrowful and depressed as he was when the Model Town, Army Public School, Baldia Factory, May 12 Karachi and Gulshan-e-Iqbal incidents occurred.
He said we had assured our support even to our opponents on the National Action Plan but all the civil institutions which have not moved an inch on the NAP have committed an unforgivable offense.
Dr Tahirul Qadri said that it was painful that the view point of the Balochistan chief minister was in contradiction of its allies had on the incident. And more astonishing was the silence of the prime minister who had gone to Quetta only for a photo session.
He said the nation wants to know why action has not been initiated on the NAP even after the passing of 17 months of its approval and how many meeting has the PM held to review the progress on the NAP.
Dr Tahirul Qadri stated that to break the backbone of the terrorists a Karachi-like Operation Zarb-e-Azb should be initiated in Punjab which is the breeding ground of all these terrorists and extremists.
He said that the Pakistan Army had completed over 98 per cent of its responsibilities as far as the NAP is concerned but the civil administration has not done anything in this regard.
He said the Army should also take action against those who are funding and supporting terrorists’ organizations in Punjab.
He said their facilitators should be exposed so that the whole nation knows who these terrorists’ are. He this is the reason that the National Assembly failed to approve a resolution condemning the Quetta blasts as out of 370 members only 40 were present in the House.
He said this is a crude joke on the Shuhda of the blast and all those who have laid down their lives fighting terrorism.
The PAT Chief question the rulers that why are so many mosques being built on the route of the China Pakistan Economic Corridor, and who and which party is financing the building of these mosques and what is their intention. -Business Recorder
