KARACHI: Unknown assailants killed President of Pakistan Ulema Council, Maulana Habibur Rehman on Tuesday, Aaj News reported.
According to reports, Two unknown assailants shot Maulana Rehman, who was a prayer leader in Siddiq-e-Akbar mosque near Safoora chowrangi.
Maulana Rehman was then taken to a nearby hospital where he succumbed to wounds.
Police has started an investigation to apprehend the culprits.
Two other people were also shot dead near Suparco road when their car came under attack. Police has identified the deceased as the employees of Pakistan Space and Upper Atmosphere Research Commission (SUPARCO).
