Ittehad Tanzeem-ul-Madaris has unanimously decided to adopt the syllabus of Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (FBISE) for Matriculation and Intermediate.
The decision was taken in a meeting of Ittehad Tanzeem-ul-Madaris delegation with State Minister for Federal Education and Professional Training Eng. Muhammad Baligh- Ur-Rehman, held here on Wednesday.
Ministry of Federal Education and Professional training will endorse the establishment of the boards of Ittehad Tanzeem-ul-Madaris according to the already established structure of Intermediate and Secondary Board and it will be discussed in the Cabinet for final approval.
Till the time the Board would be established, Tanzeem Ul Madaris would be working under the already in place system in which IBCC issues certificate of Equivalence.
FBISE will provide Capacity Building Trainings to the exams makers/setters, papers’ checkers and markers. Academic Calendar of Higher Education Commission will be adjusted according to the academic calendar of Tanzeemat Ul Madaris (May and November) and ‘Deeni taleemaat’ will be decided by the Tanzeemat Ul Madaris themselves.
For Shahadah tul Aliya (Masters Degree) in Arabic and Islamic studies, madrassa student will have to take exams of compulsory subjects English, Islamiat and Pakistan Studies in bachelors.
For masters in other subjects, Madrassa students will have to take exams of compulsory subjects along with the two elective subjects of his/her choice in bachelors For bachelors and master, already recognised syllabus from the HEC and relevant universities will be taught to madrassa students Fee concessions, financial aid, books and tutorial workshop will be provided by Allama Iqbal Open University, if the madrassa students take exams from AIOU.
Ministry of Federal Education would suggest the HEC for not taking the exam of Islamiat Compulsory as the students of madrassas extensively read this subject already.
Moreover, it was also discussed that for bachelors and masters degree, only the certificate of matriculations would be required from now onwards.
