QUETTA: Two personnel of the Frontier Corps Balochistan were among seven persons who suffered injuries in a remote controlled bomb blast that hit a vehicle of FC in Sariab bridge area the provincial capital, here on Wednesday night.
A spokesman for FC while talking to APP confirmed the incident and said a remote controlled bomb blast hit a patrolling vehicle of FC when it was passing through the area.
He added that as a result of the blast, two FC personnel and few civilians suffered injuries.
The police sources said that unknown men planted explosive device in Sariab bridge area and detonated it when a FC patrolling vehicle was passing by there.
“Seven people including two FC personnel suffered injuries in remote controlled bomb attack,” they said.
The rescue teams and law enforcement agencies rushed to the scene and shifted the injured to hospital.
The law enforcement agencies have cordoned off the entire area to trace the suspects.
