The spokesman for Pakistan Army has categorically stated that posters begging for military coup in the country have no link to armed forces, according to Aaj News.
“Reference Posters with COAS picture being displayed across various cities; Army or any affiliated organisation have nothing to do with it,” said Lieutenant General Asim Saleem Bajwa in his tweet on Tuesday night.
Leader of the Opposition in National Assembly Khursheed Shah said that it was a violation of Article 6 of Constitution. He said the government was so weak that it even failed to order the removal of highly objectionable posters.
Federal Minister Lieutenant-General Abdul Qadir Baloch (retd) said that every government employee has to retire on stipulated or specified time and the Army Chief too would retire accordingly. -Business Recorder
