Sarwar criticises Punjab budget

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader and former governor Punjab Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar has termed the Punjab budget part two of the federal budget and criticised government for not speaking truth in month of Ramadan.

Provincial finance minister has made new record of stunts. Allocation of Rs 85 billion in budget for metro train and 30 billion of clean water is quite unfair and unjustified.

He said 200,000 children have been dying each year because of drinking dirty water in Punjab but government is interested in making “commission” instead of saving lives.

He termed allocation of 90 billion rupees for Police in the budget is reward by government for escalating crimes in the province.

While talking to different delegations in his office and reacting on the provincial fiscal budget 2016-17 of Punjab, Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar has said that PML-N has preferred to give relief to rich people instead of poor men.

Increase in salaries of government employees is nothing more than the stunt made by government.

Government has made new record of speaking lies on the floor of Punjab Assembly in month of Ramadan. Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf has deliberately rejected the budget.

He said that priority of the government of Punjab is metro train instead of health, education and social sector facilities. PML-N always made new stunt in every budget.

He questioned why PML-N government don’t talk about “Sasti Roti scheme?” He alleged that Punjab police has already used 90 billion bupees of previous budget to scare and oppress the political opponents of rulers.

During the reign of present regime, Punjab has only witnessed the increase in crime rate and brutal state sponsored violence by police due to political usage of police in the province. -Business Recorder
