KARACHI: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has strongly condemned the killing of famous Qawwal Amjad Sabri.
The PM Office Wednesday said that the premier directed the concerned authorities to find the culprits behind this attack and bring them to book.
Interior Minister Sindh has ordered investigation of the incident.
Condemning the daylight murder of the Qawali maestro, PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that, kidnapping of Awais Shah son of sitting Chief Justice of Sindh High Court and then the ghastly assassination of Amjad Sabri `were part of sinister conspiracy as both incidents appeared professionally organized by the terrorist elements and their sponsors’, he said in a statement issued on Wednesday by the Bilawal House Media Cell.
Governor Sindh Dr Ishrat ul Ebad Khan has directed Inspector General of Police (IGP) Sindh, A.D. Khawaja, to take every step for the arrest of killers of renowned Qawwal Amjad Sabri. Ebad said that `terrorists’ would not succeed to achieve their ulterior motives.
The Karachi Chief of Jamat-i-Islami, Engr. Naeem ur Rehman has strongly condemned the murder of renowned Qawwal Amjad Sabri.
Many religious, entertainment and political personalities have also expressed extreme grief over the incident.
