PCB announces 17 member squad for England tour

LAHORE: Chief selector of Pakistan cricket board, Inzamam Ul Haque in a press conference on Sunday announced the squad for England tour, Aaj news reported.

According to the reports, Inzamam said that, selection has been made purely on performance. He further justify the selection of 17 member squad by saying that, England tour is long as Pakistan will play ODI matches after Test matches.

The squad will have three opening batsman Shan Masood, Sami Aslam and Mohammad Hafeez while the middle order will be strengthen by the likes of Misbah Ul Haq, Younis Khan, Asad Shafique, Azhar Ali, Iftikhar Ahmed. Two wicket keepers will also be the part of squad Sarfaraz Ahmed and Mohammad Rizwan.

Muhammad Amir will get his visa on Thursday, said Inzamam.

Pakistan’s bowling arsenal will be consisted of Muhmmad Amir, Wahab Riaz, Imran Khan, Rahat Ali and Sohail Khan along with two spinners Yasir Shah and Zulfiqar Babar.

Inzamam hopes that the team will perform at their best against England.
