KARACHI: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif has said that across the board operation focuses on the entire network of terrorists, their abettors and financiers and it will continue till the objective of peace and restoration of normalcy is not achieved in all parts of Karachi.
The Army Chief during his visit to Pakistan Rangers (Sindh) Headquarters here on Sunday, also said that every assistance, including intelligence and material combat support will be provided to the Rangers to accomplish their mission.
Referring to recent incidents, the COAS directed all commanders including those of intelligence agencies to continue working hand in glove and leave no stone unturned in finding the perpetrators.
The Director General Rangers briefed the COAS in detail about ongoing operations, the prevailing security situation and the way forward for Karachi operation, ISPR said on Sunday.
The COAS commended the sacrifices and achievements of Sindh Rangers which have brought about significant improvement in the law and order situation in the city so far.
Talking to the troops, the COAS said that determination, courage and resolve of Sindh Rangers to rid the city of the terrorists and criminals has earned them widest respect from the people of Karachi. -APP
