ISLAMABAD: Chief of army staff General Raheel Sharif on Wednesday said that Pakistan will not tolerate drone attacks as they posed threat to integrity and sovereignty of Pakistan, Aaj news reported
COAS informaly addressed the media and said that, the word ‘unfortunate’ seems very small to describe the catastrophe of drone attacks. He also said that, Pakistan air force higher command is planning to take an action against drone attacks.
99 percent success has been achieved in Operation Zarb-e-Azab, said COAS. He vows to complete the ongoing operation by the end of this year.
On a question relating to China Pakistan economic corridor (CPEC) army chief told the media that CPEC is a matter of national interest and must be completed any cost.
President Mamnoon Hussain after addressing the joint parliamentary session met COAS Raheel Sharif.
Jammiat Ulma e Islam’s chief Fazal Ur Rehamn Ahmar, Jamat e Islami head Siraj Ul Haq and Special Adviser for Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz also met COAS.
