QUETTA: Chief Minister Balochistan Nawab Sanaullah Zehri on Sunday announced Balochistan’s budget of over 289 billion rupees for the fiscal year 2016-17 in Balochistan assembly.
Zehri said that, deficit of the budget has been estimated approximately 36 billion rupees.
He announced that, revenues worth more than 252 billion rupees would be collected during the new financial year.
He further said that amount worth 218 billion has been allocated for non-development expenditures, in the budget while over 71 billion rupees allocated for development projects.
CM further said that, fifty million rupees have been allocated in the budget for outstanding students for the purpose of providing them with laptops.
Similarly five billion rupees have also been allocated for developmental schemes to be completed under the supervision of local bodies councils across the province, said Zehri.
Zehri added that, government has decided to allocate ten billion rupees for provision of clean drinking water to Quetta city under the Pat Feeder canal project to be completed at a total cost of 40 billion rupees.
7.4 billion rupees have been allocated for overall betterment of agricultural sector in the new budget, said CM. –Radio Pakistan
