Traffic police killing, CM took notice

KARACHI:  Taking serious notice of the killing of two traffic constables at Aisha Manzil, Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah directed to IG Sindh A.D. Khwaja to mobilize forces to arrest the culprits.

A statement here on Saturday said that the incidents of attacks on traffic police are on the rise. It is terrorism and target killing incident and it seems as if they are defying the government writ, he told the IG on telephone.

The Chief Minister said that the attack on police, rangers or on any other government force is unacceptable.  “I know these are the last ditch efforts of survival by the terrorists but we have to be more vigilant and cautious,” he said and added “I don’t want to lose a single constable’s life any more in this war. We have to fight it cautiously.”

The IG briefed the Chief Minister about the incident and vowed to arrest the culprits very soon. The Chief Minister also directed the IGP to take proper care of the family members of the assassinated traffic policemen.- APP
