WEB DESK: It seems Ranbir Kapoor is leaving no stone unturned to play Sanjay Dutt perfectly on screen in the 56 year old’s biopic to be directed by Rajkumar Hirani. And what’s interesting is the fact that it is Dutt himself who is helping the actor to prep up for the role.
In one of the earlier interviews Dutt had mentioned that It will be a problem for Ranbir (to essay Sanjay Dutt) because he will need to grow his hair out, get really lean at first and then beef up. It’s a physically challenging role for any actor.
Talking about the graph of Ranbir’s character in the film, a source has been quoted by a publication saying, “The first sequences to be shot are from the 1990s, when Sanjay acted in films like Thaanedar, Saajan, Gumrah, Khalnayak, Aatish, Safari and Kartoos.
“After that they will go back by a decade to the ’80s, which will focus more on his personal life..” It is thus said that Ranbir will have to knock off almost 10-20 kgs for the part and will then have to re-gain the weight for the second schedule.
Also, to get a deeper insight into Dutt’s life, Ranbir apparently goes for frequent dinners at the latter place to discuss Dutt’s personal and professional life in details.
It’s learnt that the film will only showcase positive aspects of the actor’s life minus the drug episode and the jail term
