WEB DESK: Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq has said that Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif would give his policy statement on the ‘Panama Papers’ in the Lower House of the Parliament on Monday.
While responding to the opposition on Tuesday, Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Pervaiz Rashid had stated on the floor of the House that the Prime Minister would attend the National Assembly proceedings on Friday and would answer all questions raised by the opposition members regarding the ‘Panama Papers’
However on Thursday, Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq while talking to Parliamentary reporters after the adjournment of the ongoing session said that now the prime minister would give a ‘policy statement’ on Monday as the opposition leader Syed Khurshid Shah is ill and he would also attend the Monday’s session.
The Speaker said he mediated between the government and opposition for peaceful session during the prime minister’s speech on Monday. He asked the opposition not to spoil the environment of the National Assembly. – Business Recorder
