ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan on Thursday said that sovereign and peaceful Afghanistan is imperative not only for Pakistan but the whole region.
While talking to US permanent representative for Afghanistan and Pakistan Richard Olson in Islamabad, Nisar said dialogue is the only solution to Afghan issue.
He also expressed Pakistan’s concerns on stoppage of funds for the F-16s jet fighter deal.
‘Pakistan desires to expand relations with the United States on the basis of mutual respect’.
Olson said the United States values Pakistan’s contribution to peace and stability in the region, adding his country values its relations with Pakistan and wants to further expand them.
Meanwhile, National Security Adviser Lieutenant General (r) Nasir Janjua has said that establishment of peace in Afghanistan is collective responsibility of the international community.
Addressing a conference in Islamabad, he said that Pakistan wants peace and stability in Afghanistan.
He said Pakistan stands with world for stability of the Afghanistan. The adviser said border management with Afghanistan is a crucial issue.-Radio Pakistan
