Pakistan women win big at Femina ME Awards

WEB DESK: The first ‘Femina Middle East Women Awards’ were celebrated in account of Life and Style magazine’s anniversary at Jumeirah Beach Hotel in UAE.

The night was ladies’ night in Dubai, as some of our favourite Pakistani women were honoured and appreciated for their achievements.

The ceremony aimed to honour all the professional ladies across the board and for recognizing their contributions in different fields.

Pakistan’s Drama Industry’s charm and the glamour of Pakistan’s Film Industry, Mahira Khan was among the achievers.

The leading lady of a famous serial, hamsafar, bagged token of appreciation for being the unstoppable emerging talent from Pakistan.

The second achiever from Pakistan was bridal wear maestro, Farah Talib Aziz was honoured for being unstoppable in creative design; her daughter, the marketing force behind the label, Maliha Aziz accompanied her to the event.

Last but certainly not the least, Namira Salim, an explorer/astronaut also won for being unstoppable in space exploration.

This isn’t the first time, Pakistani women have been appreciated and being acknowledged for their work and efforts in the region. Last year, the creative head of Crew Motion Pictures, Asma Nabeel was felicitated with the Femina Unstoppable Woman Award for her contribution to Arts and Entertainment. The brains of Hum TV, Sultana Siddiqui and journalist/activist Sidra Iqbal have also been recognized by the GR8 Women Awards held in the Gulf.
