KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement’s senior leader and Mayor Karachi Waseem Akhtar criticized the Sindh government for not vesting power to local representatives, Aaj news reported.
According to reports, Akhtar fired shots at Sindh government for strangling democracy by not vesting power in local government. He also said that, the political parties who claimed to be the pioneer of democracy are the ones who are suppressing it.
Akhtar further added that, water and power crisis are surging to a new level in the metropolis. He urged the prime minister of Pakistan Nawaz Sharif to visit Karachi and take some serious measures to solve these crises.
