Karachi: Blast near Steel Town injures three

KARACHI: At least three people, including a Chinese national, were injured in a blast near Steel Town area on Monday, Aaj News reported.

According to the reports, the explosion took place near Steel Town, National Highway, injured a Chinese Engineer. His security guard and driver also received minor injuries, who immediately rushed to the hospital.

According to initial reports, a roadside bomb went off as the Chinese national’s vehicle passed by Quaid-e-Azam Park in Steel Town.

The bomb was placed at Green Belt, Gulshan-e-Hadeed area, police said. CTD Incharge Mazhar Mashwani reached the spot to get further proofs.

A warning letter from a nationalist party was recovered from the site of the blast, reports claimed.

However, rangers have started investigation and cordoned off the nearest areas as well.
