Instagram reveals new logo

WEB DESK: Intsagram has got all new design and color. The photo-sharing app logo has a simple camera for its logo with bright pink and purple tinge, while inside the app, a white and black theme reigns supreme.

Instagram had iconic brown-colored camera icon and the blue and white background inside the app but now it has changed everything.

Explaining the design change of the app, blogspot says, “You’ll see an updated icon and app design for Instagram. Inspired by the previous app icon, the new one represents a simpler camera and the rainbow lives on in gradient form. You’ll also see updated icons for our other creative apps: Layout, Boomerang and Hyperlapse.”

The design change has not disturbed the navigation of its users to the apps. According to the company, the simpler black and white design puts more focus on “photos and videos.”

The bar gets less prominence with photos and videos filling up the page and the imposing blue is now all gone; in the search function too. The page for sharing/editing photos is also all white, unlike the earlier black background. Thanks to the all-white background, the filter tray, which appears when you edit a photo, appears to give a stronger emphasis on the filter applied.

Getting hold of more than 400 users and being a part of facebook, instagram claimed that over 80 million photos and videos are shared on the app every day.
