Imran Farooq murder case: government to send FIA team to London

WEB DESK: The government on Tuesday decided to send a team of Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) to London for investigation of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader Dr Imran Farooq murder and money laundering case against MQM chief.

An official source said that the Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan on Tuesday gave final approval of FIA team to visit London for investigation of Imran Farooq murder case and money laundering case.

The team consists of Director FIA Islamabad Mazhar-ul-Haq Kaka Khail, Director FIA Sindh Shahid Hayat and representatives of Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI). The members of the team have submitted application for getting British visa, he said.

He said that the team will look into ongoing investigation of money laundering case against Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM). The team has gathered all key documents, statements and proofs regarding the cases and has also applied for British visas. – Business Recorder
