KARACHI: Coordinator of senior Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader Farooq Sattar, Aftab Hussain has died under Rangers’ custody on Tuesday, Aaj News reported.
Aftab Hussain was arrested by Rangers two days ago from his residence at Federal-B (FB) Block 14, on Sunday. Rangers were granted his 90 days remand Monday, when produced before court.
According to the reports, Hussain’s condition deteriorated during the detention and he was shifted to Karachi’s Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) where he died Tuesday morning.
Hussain died soon after was brought to hospital today morning in critical condition, sources claimed.
MQM leaders Khuwaja Izhar-ul-Hassan and Muhammad Hussain have demanded for the probe of the incident.
According to the MQM sources, Hussain’s funeral prayers will be offered today after 5 pm.
