Alia, Siddharth replace Shraddha, Aditiya in Aashiqui

WEB DESK: After huge success of “Ashiqui 2”, the third installment of Ashiqui is on its way to hit the box office.

The rumoured couple of Bollywood, Alia Bhatt and Sidharth Malhotra will be replacing the former on-screen couple Shraddha Kapoor and Aditya Roy Kapoor.

Sidharth disclosed about his upcoming movie, saying, “Scripting is in progress but it should be up and running next year. Aashiqui 2 had lots of love, angst and music. I’m looking forward to more.”

Sidharth Malhotra fires back at KRK over nasty tweet on Alia Bhatt

He said that to convincingly pass off as a singer, he would be taking singing lessons. “Mohit (director Mohit Suri) wants me to sing one song,” he revealed, adding that learning to play the guitar was a prerequisite. “This kind of prep is a given today. I have to get rhythm in my voice and fingers.”

Sid responded to the question if Alia is helping him in learning the bits of singing as she is also a playback singer, “I hope so and if I can match up to her talent, maybe we could sing a duet, that would be a first for an actor and actress who’ve debuted together.”

The film is produced by Alia’s father Mahesh Bhatt and his brother Mukesh Bhatt.

Shradda is not upset about Alia being chosen over her, as she clarified that this film will tell a different story like its previous installment did.

During the promotion of her upcoming film, Baghi, Shradda said, “Aashiqui 2 had a very strong connection with the audience also… I hope that people like Aashiqui 3 too.”
