Abrar’s ‘Aithay Rakh’ achieves one million streams on Taazi music app

WEB DESK: Abrar ul Haq’s first album in 9 years received a record one million streams on Taazi music app within the first ten days of release. Abrar kicked off his album launch with a mega concert at Bahria Town, Lahore which was attended by over 5,000 people.
The album was launched simultaneously worldwide on various music platforms including iTunes and Spotify. However, it was Pakistan’s own music platform Taazi that received the highest number of streams and downloads for Abrar’s new album Aithay Rakh.
On the success of Abrar’s new album, Haroon, the founder of Taazi, had this to say; “I see the success of Abrar’s new album on Taazi as the beginning of the start of a turning point for the revival of music in Pakistan.
We always knew for us to really shake things up in the music industry we would have to think outside the box. For the launch of Abrar’s album we entered into a media partnership with a TV network and the resulting publicity made a massive amount of difference.”
