RAWALPINDI: Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif visited Armed Forces Institute of Ophthalmology on Wednesday and met wounded warriors of Operation Zarb-e-Azb.
Interacting with war heroes, he paid rich tribute to their sacrifices and said we never give up and quit.
The Army Chief was informed that in all 179 soldiers have lost their complete or partial eyesight due to IED blasts. At present 56 of them are undergoing treatments in the Armed Forces Institute of Ophthalmology.
General Raheel Sharif was given a detailed briefing on pilot project of state of the art Visual Rehabilitation Center for visually disabled soldiers.
COAS has directed the authorities to provide the injured soldiers with the best medical care.
