WEB DESK: After Bachaana‘s immsense success, Pakistani model-turned-actress Sanam Saeed is all set to star in her second movie Mah e Mir, with lead actors Fahad Mustafa and Iman Ali, that reflects upon the life of veteran Urdu poet, Mir Taqi Mir.
The actress, during a recent interview to a PR company, talked about her role in the movie. She further told what the audience should expect from the film and what the actors and the overall team of Mah-e-Mir expect from viewers.
This is the first time that she’s going to appear in a supporting role so far, for which she states:
“This was my first movie break so I had no problem in playing a supporting role. The character offered to me was very interesting and it immediately clicked with me.”
While talking about her role in the movie, Saeed told, “Naina is a very calculated, mature, slightly sensual, confident, and a secure woman. To portray Naina Kanwal’s character was a very challenging task for me. Her vocals and my way of speaking are 180 degree apart things. But undoubtedly, Sarmad Sehbai (the director) had made it possible for Naina to come to life.”
On asking about her message for the audience, Saeed exclaimed, “I have a request from the audience that whenever they go to watch Mah-e-Mir, they should go with an open mind. We often get judgmental and very critical about movies and start criticising things very easily, but at this age, when the industry and the people are in the stage of learning, they should be a little welcoming.”
While talking about the movie the Bachaana star added, “Mah-e-Mir looks simple but it has many layers deep down. It will be very challenging for the viewers as well as this is a very complex and intellectual kind of piece. I am not saying that the audience is not intelligent enough, but this film requires patience and a strong will to watch.”
