Quran education to be made compulsory: Baligh

BAHAWALPUR: Minister of State for Education and Interior, Engineer Muhammad Baligh ur Rehman on Saturday said that education of Quran would be made compulsory from Primary to Intermediate levels across the country.

Talking to APP he said that Quran would be taught to students with translation from class 1 to 12 in order to enlighten them with the teachings of Quran.

He said that education is among top priorities of PML N government and a good amount of money is being spent to improve standards of education and increasing literacy rate. He said that steps are being taken to increase recruitment at schools.
