PESHAWAR: A Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf minority lawmaker and Special Assistant to Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Minority Affairs Sardar Suran Singh was shot dead in district Buner on Friday, Aaj TV reported.
According to Pir Baba police, Soran Singh was heading to his home when unidentified assailants ambushed his car on the main road near Pir Baba Shrin and shot him in head. Police has started a search operation after the incident.
The body of the special assistant has been shifted to the district headquarters hospital for postmortem, a district police officer told APP by phone.
The Deputy Commissioner, Assistant Deputy Commisioner Buner and police officials had rushed to the site.
