WEB DESK: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif said that he cannot comprehend the allegations leveled against him in Panama Papers leak while talking to media outside his London residence on Wednesday, Aaj News reported.
In response to a question regarding his meeting with former President Asif Ali Zardari, He said that he has good relations with former president and he will not necessarily remember him in the time of need.
He emphasized that D-Chowk sit-in was only the cause of embarrassment without hinting towards opposition party’s stance on Panama Papers scandal, PM said, ‘they will not be successful in their schemes but will be left alone in it’
Upon RAW agent arrest claims, PM said despite the unfortunate incident two neighboring countries will try to get along on friendly terms.
Earlier, Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan rejected speculations that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s London visit has anything to do with the Panama papers scandal.
Nisar said the prime minister was facing medical issues from last two, three months and he went to London for his medical treatment.
He said the prime minister in his address to the nation announced forming a commission to investigate the scandal and the government had tried to reach some former judges to head the commission.“ But the former judges, backed out after seeing political mudslinging on the issue”.
He said that the government is now contacting other judges for the responsibility.
