BIRMINGHAM: Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan said he was being made scared on speaking against Pakistani leadership’s corruption revealed by Panama Leaks, Aaj News reported.
“I am not going to be scared. These tactics can not silence me from revealing corruption,” he said while addressing Pakistani community in Birmingham, England. He also said he was for the first time seeing such a huge public gathering in Britain.
Earlier, workers of Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) protested outside the house of Imran Khan’s ex wife, Jemima Goldsmith, when Imran Khan was present inside.
PML-N UK President Zubair Gul was leading the protest. The protesters said Imran Khan misused the funds which were raised under Imran Khan Foundation (IKF) for building the house for the flood victims.
He said he was staying at house of his children’s grandma, when PML-N got staged protest to silence me. They chanted slogans “go Imran go”. I thought, where should I go? Am I a prime minister?
Earlier, Police was called outside the residence. Jemima asked the policemen to disperse the protesters so that she and other residents could move out.
The police said they could not take any action against the protesters because they were peaceful and they did not break any law.
“PMLN ppl demonstrated outside Jemima’s mother’s house in London, to try & divert from Panama Leaks abt Sharif family’s ill-gotten wealth.” Imran Khan tweeted.
Khan presented examples of world countries, how their leaders reacted to Panama Leaks. “However, the country that had to become example for the world was being ruled by corrupt politicians.
“When Umer is asked, where did you get clothes, he clarifies. He does not return question that where did you get clothes,” he referenced to an incident of Islamic history.
He said the PM had lost morale authority to ask others for paying tax, when he was himself involved in corruption and tax evasion.
He demanded once again that independent judicial commission should be made under chief justice of Pakistan.
