WEB DESK: Following the release of the teaser of his upcoming biopic Sachin: A Billion Dreams, India’s batting legend Sachin Tendulkar on Thursday said acting is a more challenging task for him than playing cricket, IANS reported.
Sachin will be making his acting debut with his own biopic.
“For so many years, I did whatever I wanted to do and camera captured that. But then suddenly, I was asked to do particular things, and then camera captured that,” said Sachin.
“That was a bit difficult thing for me. But believe me the first option was a better option. Acting is not something which I dreamt of. Without any doubt it is more challenging for me than playing cricket, I enjoyed that (cricket) more,” added the 42-year-old.
Directed by British director James Ersekine and produced by Mumbai-based 200NotOut Productions, Sachin charts Tendulkar’s rise from “wild child” to “virtuous hero” who “united his country”. The film boasts music by A.R. Rahman.
Sachin, who is currently a mentor for the Mumbai Indians in the Indian Premier League, also tweeted about his film saying: “A journey made special by your support and wishes. Presenting the teaser of @SachinTheFilm.”

Bollywood has already made sports biopics earlier like Bhaag Milka Bhaag and Mary Kom and they have done quite well at box office.
