Veteran Bollywood actor Dilip Kumar, who was discharged from Lilavati Hospital on Thursday (April 21) is now in good health, his doctor said, IANS reported.
The actor’s doctor, Jalil Parker, says that he is fit and doesn’t require bed rest at home.
“Dilip Kumar ji’s health has improved quite a lot and has come back to normality. We sent him home because of his remarkable improvement, both clinically and radiologically, and because all reports of the lab investigations have come out well,” said Dr Jalil Parkar.
His wife Saira Banu, who had accompanied him to the hospital, was seen escorting him home in a car when he was discharged.
The actor was suffering from pneumonia, lung infection and had experienced fever and vomiting, according to doctors.
“The 94-year-old is fit, fine and roaring. He has been advised proper precautions according to his age. And the medicines that have been going on since before, have been given to him with the dose adjusted,” Parkar said.
“There was no bed rest advised to him, he can freely move around and do his daily activities,” he added.
The acting legend, whose real name is Mohammad Yusuf Khan, was last seen onscreen in the film Qila in 1998.
