WEB DESK: Bollywood director Kabir Khan was hounded and verbally attacked by shoe-wielding protesters at Karachi airport on Wednesday.
The Phantom director, who arrived at Karachi airport to leave for Lahore, was surrounded by protesters chanting anti-India and pro-Pakistan slogans.
Slogans like ‘Shame Shame’ and ‘Pakistan Zindabad’ were repeated the most.
Last year, Khan’s directorial Phantom caused a lot of controversy as it labelled Pakistan as a terrorist’s safe haven and was banned in the country.
The protesters angry over what they called Khan’s “anti-Pakistan films” questioned why he did not make similar movies about India’s premier spy agency, the Research and Analysis Wing (RAW).
Here check out the video:
Khan, however, did not react to the protestors and silently proceeded towards the airport lounge.
Khan was in Karachi to attend annual marketing conference MARCON 2016 organised by the Marketing Association of Pakistan.
His blockbuster hit Bajrangi Bhaijaan starring mega star Salman Khan, received heaps of praise across the border.
