KHUZDAR: At least, 144 Ferraris including four commanders surrendered to Commissioner Kalat Akbar Harifal in Khuzdar on Monday.
The commissioner hailed their decision to join the national mainstream.
He said promises made with the insurgents will be fulfilled and they will be made useful citizens of the country.
The surrendered people included who belonged to Baloch Liberation Army, Lashkar Balochistan and Balochistan Republican Army (BRA).
Mahar Ullah said they along with their all associates were joining the national mainstream. “We apologize to those families whose beloved ones were martyred by militants,” he said.
He said,” Pakistan is our homeland and we will work for its development.”
He claimed that India and Israel had been funding the militant organizations in Balochistan.
Commander of Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) Eid Muhammad alias Sana said he was the cousin of Dr. Allah Nazar, militant leader of Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF). “Both the BLA and BLF have committed atrocities on people to protect the personal interests and gains of their leaders,” he said.
He announced that he and his associates would remain loyal to Pakistan.
BLF Commander Niaz Muhammad alias Dada said, “I would like to tell the Baloch people that the so-called freedom fight is only a deception. Militant organizations are harming the interests of the people of Balochistan,” he added.
He urged the youth, who have fled to mountains to become part of separatist organizations, should return to join the national mainstream and serve their people. He and his associates would work for the development of Pakistan, he vowed.
The Commissioner Kalat said that the government welcomed those who had surrendered and announced to provide employment and other facilities to their families.
Two other Ferrari commanders had surrendered in June 2015. They had said the disgruntled Baloch youth involved in armed resistance in the province were misguided by anti-Pakistan elements in the name of freedom.
They had urged the Baloch youth to no longer play in the hands of anti-Pakistan elements in the name of liberty as they provoke Baloch youth to join armed resistance to make their foreign bosses pleased to meet their own personal gains.
