WT20: West Indies topple South Africa in last over encounter

Web DESK: West Indies defeated South Africa by 3 wickets after a close encounter in the match of Super 10 of ICC Twenty20 World Cup played at Nagpur on Friday.

West Indies become heavy contender for semi final while south Africa maybe will have to go back home this time too.

Earlier, West Indies won the toss and elected to bowl first, while batting first South Africa scored 122 runs for the loss of eight wickets.

No South African player played any big innings for South Africa. Everyone contributed their small share in the total, except De Kock who scored 46 runs off 46 balls for the losing side.

Dyane Dravo bowled very economical overs and gave only 20 runs and  took 2 wickets for West Indies.

In the reply,  West Indies struggle and lost their 2 early wickets at the scored of 36. Marlon Samuels played blazing inning along with Johnson Charles.

Marlon Samuel scored 44 off 44 while Johnson Charles scored 32 off 35.

Imran Tahir took 2 wickets and gave only 13 runs in 4 over.

Marlon Samuel awarded as the man of the match for his match winning performance.
