Wt20: South Africa beat Afghanistan by 37 runs


WEBDESK: Chris Morris’ 4 wickets drive South Africa to beat Afghanistan by 37 runs in the Twenty20 Super10 match of the World Cup in Mumbai on Sunday.

Afghanistan failed in chasing South Africa’s set 210 target and they scored only 172-10. Mohammad Shezad only played big inning for the losing side and scored impressive 44 runs off 19 balls.

Earlier, South Africa won the toss and elected to bat first, while at batting first Proteas scored 209 for 5.

After a good start between Du Plessis and De Kock they both scored 65 runs together then  Ab de Villiers struck half century for Porteas. They posted a massive target for underdogs.

Chris Morris awarded as the man of the match  for his match-winning performance.
