WEB DESK: India defeated Bangladesh by one run after a close encounter in the match of Super 10 of ICC Twenty20 World Cup played at Bangaluru on Wednesday.
Earlier, Bangladesh won the toss and elected to bowl first, while batting first India scored 146 runs for the loss of seven wickets in the allotted 20 over. No Indian player played any big innings for India, everyone contributed their small share in the total, except Suresh Raina who scored 30 runs for the winning side.
In the Reply, No Bangladesh player played responsible innings except Tamim Iqbal. Tamim Iqbal played blazing inning along Sabbir Rahman.
After Tamim and Sabbir no bangladesh player could manage to stand on pitch. All the credit goes to India’s spin bowlers, they did a good come back and created hurdle for Bangladesh till the end.
Ravi Ashwin bowled very economical overs and gave only 20 runs and took 2 wickets for India.
