WT20: Afghanistan set 154 target for Sri Lanka


WEB DESK: Afghanistan completed their innings on 153 for seven wickets against Defending champion Sri Lanka in the first Super 10 ICC World Cup Twenty20 match at Kolkata on Thursday.

Earlier, Afghanistan won the toss and elected to bat first. While batting at first Afghanistan lost their first wicket at the score of 12.

Then, Asghar Stanikzai and Samiullah Shenwari played well,  played shots in all directions. Asghar Stanikzai scored his first T20 World Cup fifty by scoring 62 runs off 43 balls while Samiullah Shenwari scored 31 runs.

Nuwan Kulasekara showed his excellent bowling skills and gave 43 runs in 4 overs and took 4 wickets.
