Waseem Aftab, Iftikhar Ahmed join Mustafa Kamal’s party

KARACHI: Two more Muttahida Qaumi Moment (MQM) party members joined former mayor Mustafa Kamal’s unnamed party on Thursday, Aaj News reported.

Ex-Rabita committee member Waseem Aftab and MPA Iftikhar Ahmed joined Mustafa Kamal’s party. Aftab said re-confirms the accusations made by Kamal in the first press conference. Ahmed is the sitting MPA from PS-106 Azizabad where party’s headquarter Nine Zero is located.

Waseem Aftab said, “Hundreds have sacrificed their lives, hundreds are living in exile”,while addressing the press conference.

He said that he cannot support a party who has lost its ‘conviction’. “We have not come to fight, we have come to make amends,” said Aftab as he ended his statement.

He appealed for a united Pakistan beyond the discrimination of cast and custom under one flag as ‘Pakistanis’.

Iftikhar Alam also announced to resign from the Sindh Assembly seat.

They said they have joined new camp to stabilize Pakistan.
