Tuesday’s winners, state by state

WASHINGTON: Republican Donald Trump and Democrat Hillary Clinton scored big wins in Tuesday’s presidential primaries, helping to consolidate their frontrunner status in the 2016 White House race.

The win in Florida for Trump sent rival Marco Rubio, the US senator from the Sunshine State, crashing out of the campaign. The 69-year-old billionaire also won in Illinois and North Carolina.
