Three-day anti-polio drive to begin from March 14

Naushahro Feroze: The three-day anti-polio campaign in the district would be launched from March 14.

According to a handout issued here Wednesday, the Deputy Commissioner Dr. Wasim Ali chaired a meeting to review the arrangements for campaign.

DC strictly warned officials of Health Department to take strict  action against polio staff found negligent.

He said each official has to work hard to make the campaign successful.

Dr Fida Hussain Memon, the district focal person, while briefing the meeting said that more than 292,900 children of below the age of five years would be administered drops for which, 619 mobiles teams, 65 fixed points and 38 transit points are formed.

He  said that if the target will not be achieved than one day catch up drive will be conducted.

Additional Deputy Commissioner, Muhammad Usman Tahir, District Health Official, Dr. Wahab Wadho, Assistant Commissioners and other concerned officers attended the meeting.
