Singing is in my family genes: Parineeti Chopra


WEB DESK: Bollywood starlet  Parineeti Chopra, who is gearing up for her next film “Meri Pyaari Bindu” says singing runs in her family genes, IANS reported.

Pari has lent her vocals for the first time in the film in which will be seen playing an aspiring singer.

The 27-year-old, who was co-hosting the Times of India Film Awards’ main gala on Friday, said that her cousin and Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra and her family were “really excited” after knowing that she is getting a chance to sing professionally.

Priyanka has already impressed the audience with her mesmerizing vocals by lending voice to songs like “Dil dhadakne do” from the movie Zoya Akhtar’s directorial “Dil Dhadakne Do”

When asked about the reaction by Priyanka and her family about her singing in the film , Pari said: “Actually everyone in my family was excited because everyone knows that we all sing. I think it’s in our blood to sing. I think it’s in Chopra blood to sing so they were very happy that I was getting to do it professionally finally.”

The “Ishaqzaade” actress will be seen will be seen romancing actor Ayushmann Khurrana in Meri Pyari Bindu.

Parineeti also said that she will not be working on singles like Priyanka, who worked on singles like “In my city” ft. Will.i.am and “Exotic” ft. Pittbull, and will just be singing songs for films.

She said: “No. Right now I am going to do some music in films and then I will see.”
