Shahid Afridi returns to Karachi


WEB DESK: Pakistan T20 Skipper Shahid Afridi has arrived Karachi from Dubai after poor performance in ICC Twenty20 World Cup Tournament  in India.

Everyone at Karachi International Airport was shocked when they suddenly saw Shahid Afridi at the airport.

Media who were also unaware about his silent arrival but some of his fans were present for his welcome at the Karachi airport.

Afridi shifted to his vehicle from airport in a very high security.

According to news, Afridi will stay in Karachi for two days and then hold a press conference on Tuesday. Later, he will go to Lahore, where he would be present before fact finding committee of PCB.

Afridi’s team crashed out of the semifinal race after back to back defeats to New Zealand and Australia in Super 10 League rounds.

After team’s ouster from World T20 he said that he will decide his future in the game before the Pakistan nation. Afridi did not return to Pakistan along with other teams members and made a couple of days stopover in United Arab Emirates.

After disaster in Asia Cup followed by dismal results in World T20, the former Pakistan captains Aamir Sohail, Rashid Latif and Moin Khan have demanded of Shahid Afridi to quit the game.

Shahid Afridi started his international career in tri-nation event in Kenya in 1996 after injury to leg-spinner Mushtaq Ahmed during Sahara Cup in Canada.
