Semi Final: New Zealand set 154 runs target


WEB DESK: New Zealand set 154 runs target to England in the first Semi-Final of ICC Twenty Twenty20 World Cup match at Feroz Shah Kotla Stadium, New Dehli on Wednesday.

Earlier, England won the toss and elected to bowl first against New Zealand.

While Batting first, top order player Colin Munro smashed 46 runs off 32 balls. Colin Munro played an outstanding inning in all direction of ground along with Skipper Kane Williamson,  in the course to help New Zealand set fighting target of 154 runs.

Kane Williamson scored 32 runs of 28 balls while Corey Anderson added 28 runs.

After dismissal of Colin Munro and Corey Anderson no other New Zealand player played sensible inning and New Zealand lost 5 wickets and contributed only 19 runs in the total.

Ben Stokes took 3 wickets and bowled very economically and gave 26 runs in 4 overs.
