Security team put forward three conditions to BCCI

WEB DESK: The three-men security team put forward three conditions to Indian government regarding Pakistan’s participation in World Cup Twenty20 which will be hosted by India, Aaj News reported.

Upon reviewing the security conditions in Dharamshala, where Pakistan is scheduled to play against India, the security team said that Pakistan cannot play at the present venue due to lack of security.

The second condition states that Indian government should announce formally that Indian government will provide full security to the team. The last condition is for the Pakistani cricket spectators as their security should be ensured while attending any Pakistan’s match.

Pakistan have asked the ICC for a change of location for their match against India after the team reported that security was not assured at the venue. The possible other venues are being deemed to be Kolkata and Mohali.

However, upon the claims that the venue is decided by the International Cricket Council (ICC) only, the report adds that ICC collaborates with the hosting country cricket board, in the case BCCI, to allocate venues as they are not friendly with the ground realities.

Pakistan will play its first match in Kolkata.
