Rangers arrests five suspects in targeted raids

KARACHI: Pakistan Rangers, Sindh, arrested five suspected criminals in targeted raids in various parts of the metropolis.

The suspects were arrested from North Nazimabad, City Court, Ranchore Line, Bazerta Line and Orangi Town areas, according to Rangers press release issued here on Tuesday.

The suspects included target killers affiliated with a notorious militant wing.

Weapons were also recovered from the possession of the accused, it added.

Rangers conducted a targeted raid on the pointation of an already arrested target killer in Orangi Town area to recover a hidden weapons cache.

During the action, one suspected criminal affiliated with a notorious militant wing had been arrested and a huge weapons cache also recovered.

According to a Rangers statement, weapons were dumped to carry out target killings and to create unrest in the city.

The weapons included 18 SMG with 15 Mag, one Kalashnikov, four 7mm and one 8mm pistol.
