Raheel inaugurates Younis Khan stadium in Miranshah

WEBDESK: Chief of Army Staff, General Mohammad Raheel Shareef on Tuesday inaugurated Younas Khan stadium in Miranshah, the administrative headquarter of the North Waziristan Agency.

Miranshah is also undergoing through Zarb-e-Azb operation.

The Army Chief also laid foundation stone of state of the art Younas Khan sports Complex in Miranshah for the youth, to be constructed by Army engineers. Renowned cricketer Younas Khan was also present on the occasion, as the Complex has been named after him.

Later, the COAS General Raheel Shareef had a round of under construction Miranshah Bazar and appreciated Army Engineers for their dedicated efforts in executing quality construction work.

Though out of sight but not out of mind, the great legendary batsman Younas Khan is still busy in the service of nation.

Younis Khan is one of the shining star of Pakistani cricket team. He has played 104 test matches and 265 One Day International matches. He is the highest run scorer for Pakistan in Test cricket and the only Pakistani player to score over 9,000 test runs. He is most remembered for his glorious leadership which led Pakistan to entitle the second edition of ICC World Twenty 20. He also holds the record for most centuries by a Pakistani in Test cricket and was awarded “Pride of Performance Award” in 2010.
