Politics in religion’s name would be dealt strictly: PM

WEB DESK: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif said the people doing politics in the name of religion would be dealt with iron hand, Aaj News reported.

“He said security of lives and properties of people is a constitutional responsibility of the government and the government was counting every single drop of martyrs and revenge of every drop is being taken in episodes. I would not rest till the last episode.

“Soft handling of the government should not be taken as its weakness,” he said while addressing the nation in a short speech on Monday night.

He said spreading of sectarianism would not be tolerated. Those who are fomenting terrorism, sectarian hatred and extremism will not be allowed to flee and will face justice.

The prime minister said terrorism had become a global challenge. Its waves had been recently seen in Brussels, Ankara and Paris as well.

“Land of pure would be shrunk for terrorists. We resolve not to let terrorists raise their heads. Cowardice terrorist attacks can not undermine the commitment of the nation. No conspiracy could stop our progress,” he said.

He said terrorists should know that failure was their destination. Our Army Public School and Bacha Khan University were still illuminating with the beacon of knowledge.

“We are reviewing seriously the issues that should be given priority. Leaders and facilitators of terrorists would not find any place to hide,” he said.

Nawaz Sharif pointed out that Islam is religion of peace and brotherhood.

It tells us that killing of one human being tantamounts to killing of entire humanity.

He said the Prophet of Islam were mercy for the entire humanity and gave practical examples of high morality and character.
