Afridi’s birthday: let’s relive his best moments in cricket


WEB DESK: All rounder Shahid Khan Afridi , 35,  is facing some heat upon his performance in the format especially after Pakistan lost miserably against India in first group match of Asia Cup 2016.

But, since today is his birthday, let’s relive the moments which made him the most lovable cricketer of the country. Although there are many best performances in cricket history when he saved the day for Pakistan cricket team, here are some handpicked moments, his three of many best performances.

1. Good batting: Asia Cup 2014

Afridi silenced his critics in the 2014 Asia Cup by delivering outstanding back-to-back performances. In what was quoted to be a virtual semi-final against India, he hit a quick-fire 34 not out, giving Pakistan a thrilling last over win.

2. Good bowling spell: Pakistan vs. Australia, Dubai, April 2009

The victory over Australia saw the Pakistani side go 1-0 up in the five-match series. Afridi knocked over six Aussie batsmen without breaking a sweat. His cameo laid the platform for Pakistan’s eventual win.
